James,
We had the pleasure of meeting at I&E Scranton, 2001 I believe. I’ve come up short looking for Ken Mazur’s information, but I’d appreciate it if you’d pass along this link to him with my regards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7xQGPsIFNc
Warmest regards, S. Evan Rice

if I want to work best with your book, should I get myself a quintet or a sextet? Thanks!

Everything in the book is written for five drums, but it includes a note for how to easily modify the exercises for six drums. So it works for both. Hope that helps!
